EDUCATIONAL DISCUSSION GUIDE
The Companion Educational Discussion Guide, written by Tiphaine Rabaux, (M.A. NYU Interactive Telecommunications Program), is an extraordinary 62-page addition to the Educational DVD Package, where one can find context, history, debate and statistics pertaining to each DVD Excerpt and topic, as well as historical quotes and resources for further study and action.
The Guide will include one page dedicated to each episode, as well as 2 - 3 pages dedicated to each excerpted topic. Each page will include:
- • Brief synopsis of excerpt
- • Historical context/statistics/current debate
- • Discussion questions
- • Sample activities
- • Resources for further study and to promote action
- • Controversial quotes from both sides of the issue
The Discussion Guide includes a special section for film studies and production classes. This section will direct viewers to cues on the DVD related to issues of documentary practice.
